The ENFO Work Meeting will be held from the 5th to the 9th of September between the cities of Järvenpää and Helsinki. More tan 100 musicians and traditional music teachers from the e-TRAD, TRADALP (Piamonte, Italy), Sibelius Academy, Sondeseu, and the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland will gather in the cities of Finland to develop different activities related to traditional music.
Masterclasses, workshops , public concerts, and a work meeting are the activities scheduled in the meeting agenda. The most eye-catching is the concert in the recently open New Music Centre of Helsinki that will offer the possibility to watch the three folk orchestras (Sondeseu, Tradalp and FBB) performing in the same night.
The New Music Centre designed by the architect Markku Kivistö celebrated its opening gala on the 31st of August and these round of concerts will be the first ones dedicated to folk and traditional music.
