Great success in the presentation of the ENFO network in Helsinki

The three Folk orchestras within the ENFO network gave an splendid concert last Wednesday the 7th in the recently opened New Music Centre Musiikkitalo in Helsinki.

TRADALP Orchestra opened the concert in a solid performance combining their own traditional music and roots with sparkles of different genres like jazz.

Right after TRADALP, Sondeseu Orchestra showed us once again what they are capable of, putting together a magical concert where energy, joy and the proximity with the audience was one more time their key to success.

Following a small break to catch breath, the Sibelius Academy Folk Big Band made their way to the stage in an eagerly awaited first appearance after one year of preparation for this concert. The show lived up to everyone’s expectations showing once again why everyone show due respect to the Sibelius Academy when referring to them.

To cap it all, the three Orchestras shared stage to play a suite of Italian, Galician and Finnish songs in an incredible show with more than a hundred musicians to produce a beautiful 9-minute song. The experiment of the ENFO Suite and the three Orchestras playing all together was seen for the first time and was received by the audience with a standing ovation. Among the audience we could see known faces of the Finnish society like the Sibelius Academy rector Gustav Djupsjöbacka, the Italian ambassador Giorgio Visetti or the celebrated Finnish artist Maria Kalaniemi.
